St. Mary’s High School is a premier Catholic Missionary Educational institution situated in Peshawar, the Provincial capital of the North West Frontier Province. St. Mary’s is a component of the Diocesan Board of Education of the Diocese of Islamabad-Rawalpindi. Dr.Joesph Arshad, Bishop of the Diocese of Islamabad-Rawalpindi is the proprietor of the school and serves as the chairman of the Diocesan Board of Education. At Present the school is administered by the Marist Brothers who took over the administration in the year 1970.
St. Mary’s conducts classes from Prep to Class 10 (SSC – Senior School Certificate, conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar) in English Medium.

Roll # 2260 (I think), Akbar House. Joined class 4A after summer vacation in 1971. Mrs. Ponsonby was our class... teacher.Finished class 10 in 1978 and moved on to Karachi, leaving some of me in Peshawar and at St. Mary's forever.This place holds the best times of my life.Some of the faculty:Mrs' Ponsonby (class 4A), Sir Peter (5A), Madam Shahida (7A), Sir Shareek Jalaluddin (8A), Madam Sartaj (9A & 10A). We had various class teachers in 6.Sir Sylvester (arts), Madam E. Williams (History & Geography), Madam Zhora (Urdu & Islamiyat), Brother Clifford Parera (English), Brother Francis Sales (Biology), Sir Aftab (Sports), Sir Khudadad (PT) and then there were others, too.And some of my class fellows:Shazad Elahi (my best friend), Hamid Ajmal, Ishteyaq Ahmad, Shahid Aslam Kundi, Akthar Kamal, Iftekhar Ahmad. An institute where I spent my entire childhood and early teens.... Roll no. 7037, Babur House, Highest number of... awards grabber in Annual English Day and Annual Urdu Day. With the kind support of Sir Samson Jacob, I revived back the Literary Society of the School. Was the third position holder in School in Annual Board Exam. Secured First Position in 9th and 10th Annual Examination. Outshone the name of school in couple of inter-school competitions and last but not the least, I and my friend Mohsin used to tease other classmates especially in class 2 Purple :)5 stars!read more
