At Lahore Grammar School Islamabad, our aim is to produce confident and successful learners. We nurture in our students, a love of learning and help them establish a safe and healthy lifestyle. We wish to produce tolerant and responsible citizens through character building, civic sense and environmental awareness. Our curriculum aims to enable students to become successful learners who enjoy learning, make progress and learn to achieve independently. The syllabus is not based only on a set of text books but on a checklist of learning objectives and attainment targets. To provide an authentic process for assessing student understanding, assessments are ongoing and unannounced. We strive to enable students to synthesize and apply their learning of previous years, as they progress from one grade to the next. Our resources include a range of text books, handouts, multimedia, lab and field work. Children are taught to use the dictionary, thesaurus, atlas, interviews, surveys, the library and different search engines as tools of learning.
