LAS is a horrible institution filled with incompetent teachers and egotistical students. One of the worst environments... for a student with a subpar education at best. Not to mention it’s absolutely braindead administration who run around like headless chickens, constantly embarrassing themselves. To put it bluntly, LAS is an expensive daycare for students with no dreams of their own in life.read more
What once used to be an amazing school has now turned into an extremely toxic environment for its students. Incompetent... administration that doesn't value the teachers, let alone students.read more
An environment designed to drive people into depression, strip them of their individuality, and force them to adhere to... absurd rules set by administrators. If you want to be surrounded by an administration that has no clue what they're doing, fails to provide a safe environment, and attempts to control every aspect of your high-school career, then by all means attend this institution. I assure you, between the administrators and entitled students, you will meet some of the worst people known to mankind.read more
I stayed at this school because of the academics, and I am so glad that I did. Every teacher here adores their subject.... There are some teachers that aren't as good as others, but every teacher I've had here has at least loved their job.All teachers are free sometime between classes and encourage meeting. I got through Honors Precalculus by meeting with a teacher near every day. Many students are close with at least one teacher, and every teacher has a few students they are really close to.The focus seems to be in the STEM fields, but all classes are good (just not advertised as much).Students are diverse racially and economically (yes, not everyone is a rich kid here), but not so politically--it is very liberal. The academic rigor causes a great deal of stress and there's definite "stress competition".A lot of people don't sleep. Overall, the students are excited about their classes and there are definitely a lot of nerds.read more
LAS is not a bad school. Campus isn't that big but its alright. Teachers are fine. Students are alright, but just be... careful who you trust - be flexible. The class uses a technology called smart boards and laptops. The eight subjects are divided into two, so four subjects a day. LAS has a great security system. Cafeteria foods are alright, they are mostly Pakistani foods. LAS is always participating in SAISA. Not to forget, they also have educational trips in 7th and 8th grade. LAS also participate in other competition like arts, MUN, etc.read more
