International Islamic Grammar School

Description

International Islamic Grammar School was founded in Islamabad in 1998 with a few donations and a vision. A decade later we are on our way to making that vision a reality with a mission to provide the Muslim community in Pakistan with Islamic oriented education in addition to the curriculum outlined by the United Kingdom; offering learning opportunities and creative ideas from the UK and combining them with Islamic teachings to help aid in character building and personal development when it comes to everyday life and interaction amongst peers.

At IIGS we provide a programme of studies that is structured from playgroup (children aged 3+) to Grade 8 and soon will be incorporating IGCSEs and A levels (children aged 14+ to 18+). International Islamic Grammar School teaches a child everything in accordance to the British standard of education (preparation to eventually take O-Levels and A-Levels). Once a child graduates from IIGS we make sure that the child need not go to a 3rd person to ask about how one must live their life in accordance to Islam, they will be self-reliant and will know exactly how to conduct their everyday life in accordance to teachings of Allah and the Prophet (pbuh).

Currently what sets us apart from the rest is the fact that our school offers Arabic, Quranic tafseer, Nazra and in addition, special emphasis is given on character building through hadith and real life present day situations and scenarios.

We recently relocated from UAE to Pakistan; and one of the biggest challenges we had in mind was kids schooling. That... was especially worrisome as my kids were studying at a very good school (Al Salam Private School - ASPS) in Dubai, and we were unaware of options we may get upon relocation to Pakistan.Upon relocation while my kids continued distance learning from ASPS for almost 3 months; it gave us ample time to find the school of our choice. Our core requirements in finding school were (1) School management with strong commitment towards quality education (2) excellent teaching approach towards Science & Technology (3) curriculum being taught is Oxford/British (4) Great focus on Moral values (5) Islamic teachings being integral part of day-to-day schooling (6) school with mind-set of creating ambassadors and not followers, (7) making kids learn Urdu in a simple way since Urdu was alien to my 1 & 4 grader kids, and lastly (8) not overly priced. While there are many good schools in Islamabad, many of them lacked our 3 basic criteria i.e. (a) Management commitment - as most schools management have commercialized mindset, (b) Focus on Moral & Islamic Education, and (c) monthly/admission cost. Our 2 months+ search was well rewarded, once we came across International Islamic Grammar School (IIGS), Islamabad. It truly inspired me the way management is putting every effort in ensuring kids gets best education without burdening parents. Beside British curriculum being taught here, they have a keen focus on nurturing social & moral values in students. Bookish Science may exist in every school, IIGS has dedicated practical sessions to boost child's curiosity and understanding around STEAM. Teachers are so amazing that my kids didn't feel much difference while transitioning from UAE to Pakistani school. Recently introduced after school activity of Qur'an memorization is an amazing initiative; and we are very much looking forward to planned after school activities for Circuit Design & Programming. While small campus size mildly limits kids' sports activities/physical education; I am sure management will find a way to have it addressed in near future (a suggestion - introduction to martial arts, basketball, or any other indoor physical activity will nail the deal).I would highly recommend IIGS, if you are looking for a school, offering focused & high quality education at an affordable cost.read more

IIGS a school which provides right balance of Scientific and Islamic education. The best thing that one may clearly... observe is grooming of children by imparting knowledge, skills and attitude that are required to motivate students to achieve their goals and cherish the wishes of their parents.Off course, STEM education and in case of IIGS STEAM ( Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematica) part of the curriculum, is simply outstanding.Best of luck for the school and the administration.read more

The school has good management and the owners are remarkable. Although it is not a big school but the impressive... quality of the school is its curriculum. Their curriculum is a thorough mixture of basic academic studies as well as islamic studies and principles, which is crucial for our society. My daughter has recently become part of this school system and i have a firm believe that Inshallah this school will prosper along with our children. AMEEN.read more

I have visited this school and was truly amazed by the scholastic attitude of the teacher, the comprehension of the... student and the inquisitiveness the teachers are trying to impart to the students for developing a learning curve out of typical “RATTA” system of Pakistan. The teachers and the administration is whole heartedly trying to impart improved and proven international concept of learning. Although a start and young schooling system its has a great future and capabilities to become one of the leading school system. One of the most amazing aspect is the probono work the school is doing to impart high standard education to those who don't have the necessary means to get it.Hope the school do best in the future and i am sure the parents who choose it for their kids will be utterly satisfied and eternally gratefulread more
