Govt High School No 2 Shikarpur is an age-old institution imparting education since 1900 A.D. It was established in the name of “Hope-ful-Academy” under the motto “Enter to learn and Go forth to Serve.
The then administration of the institution constructed its double-storey magnificent Building comprising of 15 Class rooms excluding Science Hall, Drawing Hall and a Library. It is very spacious and having all the facilities in-comparison with any educational institution at large. After Independence, this institution was made as an Annexe-No.1 of Government High School, Shikarpur.
Keeping-in-view of the more facilities to be provided after Independence, this school was made an Independent High School in the year 1973 in the name if Government High School No. 2, Shikarpur.
This school has a very big assembly Hall with a gallery around it. The Hall is now named after our Great Poet and Saint of Sindh Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai “Latif Hall”. There is a separate Drill-shed of its kind in the whole region. The School has two orchards on its both sides of East and West starting from the main gate towards the building. The school has a very big Sports Ground like a Mini Stadium, where District games and sports are organized.

The founder Manager of Academy was a great Educationist Mr. Wadhu Mal S/o Verho Mal Goklani, who served it upto his retirement year 1939.The then administration of the institution constructed its double-storey magnificent Building comprising of 15 Class rooms excluding Science Hall, Drawing Hall and a Library. It is very spacious and having all the facilities in-comparison with any educational institution at large.
