Garrison Cadet College Kohat is a boarding school, situated in the suburb of Kohat City. The aim of the school is provide high quality education to cadets from all over Pakistan. The school offers education to Boys only from Grade 8 up to Grade 12.
The Foundation stone of the college was laid on 1st March , 1990 by the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mohtarama Benazir Bhutto. The college was inaugurated on 10 May 1993. Garrison Cadet College Kohat is spread over an area of about 85 acres. The college has a capacious Academic Block for 550 cadets, well equipped laboratories of Computer, Chemistry, Physics, Biology and Language, a well-organized library an elegant Administration Block and a tuck shop.
Students are selected in Grade 8 after through written test and physical fitness test.Test centers are in Kohat, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Multan, Karachi, Abu Dhabi. Selected Cadets are enrolled in five Houses. Each house has a House Master and a House Tutor which look after the cadets of house.they keep eyes on their cadets 24 hours .

The college was inaugurated on 10 May 1993 by the then Quartermaster General of Pakistan Army, Lieutenant General... Muhammad Arif Bangash. It was established as Kohat Garrison College but later it was renamed Garrison Cadet College Kohat in 1999. Regular classes commenced in March 1993.read more
