The Aga Khan School, Susoom is over three decades old. The school was built in 1984 as a primary school in an unfinished building with just 74 students and one teacher. It was upgraded to a middle school in 1990 and to a community high school in 1998. The entire school came under AKES,P in 2012.
The school now serves over 300 students, 37% of which are female. English is the medium of instruction and the school teaches pre-primary through high. There are 20 teachers now, with the student to teacher ratio being 1:20.
The school, which serves as a hub school for the cluster of schools around it, has recently become affiliated with the Aga Khan University Examination Board.
