Educational institutions in Sindh to remain closed till further orders
Amid rising coronavirus cases in Sindh, the provincial government has decided to extend the closure of schools that were shut on April 26. Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani said in a statement on May 23, 2021 that on-campus classes in all public and private educational institutions will remain suspended due to the alarming Covid-19 situation.
He said 50 per cent of school staff including teachers and headmasters can be called for managing home learning activities and online classes.
According to a notification issued by the education ministry, homework can be assigned to the students through online platforms “or in-person on a weekly basis whichever mode is feasible and safe, in order to cover syllabus with strict compliance of the guidelines..”
