I highly recommend this school. It provides quality education at a reasonable fee. It has beautiful greenery, fabulous... architecture and big separate grounds for cricket, football and hockey. I'm a 2004 batch alumni and I used to play basketball, table tennis, long and high jumping, etc.The physics and biology labs were well organised and maintained. The library had a great collection of books and children's movies. We also used to go to an air-conditioned computer lab once a week and learn MS Office and Windows OS.I'm very successful in my career, and I'll give a great amount of credit to this school, which developed a solid foundation in me. I'm very thankful to Allah that he guided my parents to enrol me in this great school.read more
SPOTLIGHT MONDAY:Today’s Spotlight is on Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan School, one of the iconic educational... institutions of Karachi, with a vast network of alumni spread all across the world.Established in 1965, the school popularly known as SMS bears the name of Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan III who established the first Aga Khan Schools more than a century ago in 1905. These schools were in different countries, including one in Gwadar, Pakistan.Since its founding 55 years ago, the Sultan Mahomed Shah Aga Khan School has gone through many transformations. Initially established as a community-based school called the Aga Khan Third Foundation School, the school name was later changed to honour Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah.In the 1970s, along with many other schools, the SMS Aga Khan School was nationalised. Unfortunately, when the school was handed back by the government, it was in a terrible shape. The infrastructure was damaged, and the teachers demoralized. To revitalise the school and its teaching and learning environment, a school improvement programme was started in collaboration with the Aga Khan Foundation. The programme worked on infrastructure, and the training and development of teachers and leadership.Today, the SMS Aga Khan School, situated on a 23-acre campus in the heart of Karachi, has an enrollment of over 3,000 students with classes ranging from pre-primary to the secondary level. Each section has its separate building, with all the required facilities – classrooms, libraries, laboratories, playgrounds and offices. All its students sit for their secondary school certificate through the Aga Khan University Examination Board and regularly excel in academics as well as extra-curriculars. #AgaKhanSchools #QualityEducation #AKESread more
