Governor’s Model School and college is situated in the heart of civil colony Khar Bajaur Agency. The primery aim of its... establishment was to bring this agency at par with other developed areas of the countery in the field of education. It was realized that the people do not lack the talent but lacked the facilities and opportunity . So it was decided by the political Adminastration to provide the people of this Agency with an instituation up to Higher Secondery level ,which would offer quality education.so in 1985, when the prime minister of Pakistan, Mr. Muhammad khan Junieejo came on an offical visit to the Agency, the demand for such an enterprise was put up in his honour which he very kindly approved on the spot, M.N.A of Bajaur Mr. Abdul Subhan khan provided the funds for the construction of its bulding and the political Administration guaranted to run it. However , in order to make it a real education institute of high caliber, it was decided to embark on this plan phase wise, In may 1990 it was started as a midle school and in 1993 it was upgraded to secondery level and was affiliated with BISE Saidu Sharif Swat. from the day first the school remained successful in providing qulity education and showing execellent results in the Board examination every year it encouraged the authorities to start work on it 3rd phase. On 12th august 1999 the Board of Governor of Governor’s Model School and college (fromerly known as Bajaur Public School and college) under the chairmain ship of Mr. Qaisar Majeed Malik, the then politiccal agent decided to start 11th class in the newly built Jinnah Boarding House and funds would be raised from the different quarters to construct a new block of inter section in the future, so the class 11th was started on 22nd september 1999. The then principal of college Prof. Sarver Khattak took the task to rigester the instituation as inter college with education department KpK affiliated it as such with BISE Swat. But after the inception of Chakdara Malakand Board in 2001 the instituate was got affiliated with it.since 1st March 2007 Bajaur Public School and college has been functionioning separately as boys & girls section. The boys section has been shifted to newly construted building.read more

A school with a bright success record in a span of not more than a decade. I spent a month there and it was really a... good time there. The staff is highly qualified and students are much more intelligent. If I am not wrong, this is the only school that secure some positions in the top ten list of board of Malakand.So far the performance is so good and indeed it is providing quality education with a social responsibility.The attached are some pics that I found on facebook (not mine)read more

BPS and College is one of the awesome institute of Bajaur Agency.This is not just school or college but a place where... love is shared,talent is appreciated and legends are produced.read more
