Do not 🚫 get your kids admitted here. You want to get your kid educated and to boost his confidence but this... school on contrary will even destroy his self respect and confidence. Better safe than sorryread more
Best school of the city. It has developed alot over few years, not only in terms of infrastructure but also worked on... their educational standard. This School is really "State of the Art".read more
Located on the urban side of city, albeit away from the humdrum, The Civilizations School, is a pleasant surprise. I... was better for a project "Reel On Hai" by Karachi Bienielle as one off the sites where our reel was placed, designed to be used as a canteen. When the huge gates opened up, I was not really prepared to see what I did. I actually felt like Alice in Wonderland! The lush green landscaping, the mini zoo, the very professionally correct football fields, the school building itself took me by a pleasant surprise. The details further added to the school like the tree house or a dead tree truck used aesthetically added a further sparkle to my eyes. I must not leave out the very important part regarding the academics as well. The classrooms were alive with the displays of the children's works. The KG and Nursery sections were a colourful burst of energy with the buzzing sounds of the children chanting nursery rhymes in unison. There was a language room where German is being taught to encourage children to go there for free higher education. I witnessed commendable efforts being carried out at The Civilizations Public School for par standard, affordable education with remarkable extra curricular activities.read more
Four of my children have studied at Civilizations. One of them was recently elected vice president of the student union... at Habib University. The credit for the develment of her personality, her ambition and indeed the scholarship awarded to her university goes to the school. Another of my daughters recently performed a role in the school's play and has gained all her confidence at the school. The school takes remarkable ownership of its students. It is a happy and fun place and yet it does not let its students loose their ambition.read more
My son is studying in Civilizations for the last around 6 years since grade III (He is in currently in grade VIII). In... addition, my two nephews have also studied for 3 years at Civilizations. So I have reasonable idea about the pros and cons of the school. I will try to give me candid views so that parents and students can take right decision regarding performance of school.(Disclaimer: By profession I am an auditor. therefore, the analysis may be extra critical : Please discount the fact yourself :)To me, a good education system must impart the following qualities in the students:- Confidence, Creativity, (Ability to) Communication and Competence (Technical)The areas-wise rating for the above Civilizations is as follows:Confidence: 9/10Creativity: 10/10Ability to Communicate: 8/10,Technical Competence: 8/10Overall Rating: 9/10Civilizations can be counted among the best schools in Karachi (specially in middle class localities) and rated a little below Generations in district Central (of Corse with lower fee). It seems that the management is not running the school like a business rather they have a vision and want to make a difference in the field. Some important features:- Physical Infrastructure: Unlike many other big chain schools (Beacon, City) which are working in make-shift bungalow, Civilizations has a proper school building with grassy playground and beautiful plantation/trees.- School is run by Mr. Ali Syedain (Principal) who, besides being highly qualified with rich experience of running renowned school, is really passionate about education and child development. He takes personal interest in literary and extracurricular activities for building overall personality of students.- The school gives equal (if not more) importance to extracurricular and co-curricular activities likes sports, theater, debates and study tours etc- Overall standard of teaching is good.Issues:- Fee has jumped quite quickly during last 5 years.- Teacher turnover seemed to be high (which may be a general pattern in schools) which affects the syllabus continuity and interest of students.- For naughty and carefree students (specially boys), the not-so-strict and fun-filled environment may lead to reduced focus on studies resulting in below average results.- To my knowledge, there is no Governing Body of school comprising management, teachers, experts and parents to provide a long term vision, strategy and oversight. However, for those teaches who want quality education with reasonable fee, it is a good option. Good luckSULTAN ABIDread more
I have found students from the school to be smart, curious and knowledgeable. As I live right next door, I have watched... the school develop over the years to be one of the leading school in Karachi. The school has answered my requirements for a school to not only be child-friendly and dynamic, but also one that produces good human beings. It is clearly a better school than the chain schools in North Nazimabad and I have admitted my child here. My experience so far has confirmed my earlier assessment of the school.read more
